Help Students in Need Achieve More
Care for Students seeks to improve learning outcomes for driven public school students through virtual small-group tutoring

Our Four Pillars
Here’s how we set ourselves apart
Virtual Tutoring Sessions
Our typical weekly tutoring session consist of 2 volunteers and 2-4 students reviewing material from those students' class curriculums. Our volunteers are full-time employees at Microsoft and have 4-year college degrees. Most of our volunteers also have previous tutoring experience or hold advanced degrees (Masters, PhDs).
Feedback for Teachers
After each tutoring session, volunteers complete a qualitative reflection on their students' learning and share it with the teachers. We provide this as an extra data point for educators to use as they understand and gauge where students are excelling and where some may need more help.
Measured Outcomes
We aspire to create an impact on students that can measured both qualitatively and quantitatively.
Qualitatively, we look to affect students academic confidence as measured through surveys. Where applicable we also measure in-class performance including test scores and attendance.
Targeted Philanthropy
Using the Microsoft Employee volunteer match, we are able to provide sizable financial grants to our partner schools at the end of each academic year. With the help of our educators, we earmark this funding to support students and existing programs at the school.
